Also known as 'anise hyssop' and smells of liquorice. Copes well with poor soils and would rather be too dry than too wet. An excellent source of nectar for bees but the leaves also make great tea. Purple spires 80cm from July onwards. Attracts carder bumblebees and butterflies

Tall spires with blue purple spires up to 80cm in late summer. Plant 30-40cm apart in full sun, in well drained soil.
